FORCE Annual General Meeting
Monday, September 15, 2008
The threat of the proposed St Marys Cement Flamborough Quarry continues. We have made some excellent headway in our opposition, but much more work remains. We simply can’t let the 8th largest quarry in Canada establish itself on 11th Concession East at Milburough Line. Imagine the impact of over 1000 gravel trucks per day travelling area roads. Imagine the impact of noise and dust from blasting and crushing. Imagine the impact of a 130 foot deep crater pumping millions of gallons of water per day from the same aquifer that provides water to your family.
